We offer an optional insurance for all of our shippers for an additional cost per kilo.
Duties calculation vary by country. Some countries use a formula based solely on the merchandise value and multiply it by a duties amount. Others, add in a freight value and an insurance value, and then apply the duty. Still on others additional taxes are applied besides the duty. Contact us for additional information on specific countries.

An industry standard, dimensional weight is always charged. Most logistics providers utilized, including airlines and delivery providers, use the dimensional weight of an item as opposed to the actual weight.

We offer two levels of integration based on your technology needs and resources.
For companies seeking a simple interface that will allow SkyPostal to handle their Latin American shipments, provide tracking for their customers, and requires minimal IT time and resources, TechBase was created. Via our user-friendly merchant portal, you can stay focused on selling, while we take care of the logistics.
For companies that want the benefits of real-time tracking and label creation for their Latin American volume we offer TechSync. Via our simple yet robust API integration, orders can be handled seamlessly and customers can have up to date visibility on their package movement.
With our TechBase and TechSync integration options, integrations are as fast as our customers want them to be. Our tools are specifically made to meet the needs of less technically advanced retailers, as well as large ones with fully staffed IT departments. We bill all of our customers in US Dollars, however, we handle multiple merchants who sell in multiple currencies. Our web services can process any currency for any package received.
We have a top notch US based customer support team dedicated to the varying needs of all our clients. In addition, we also service reps in every country we serve offering additional local support as required.
We offer our customers access to a web reporting portal where they can create reports and measure our performance in all areas of our service. From transit to delivery, to exceptions handling, all the information you will need is at your fingertips.
SkyPostal provides itself on utilizing the best delivery partners in every country we serve. Some of our providers are large national players, while others are regional/niche players offering the best level of service available for that region. Not all of these players offer the same services. Some providers are more hands on with local customers and others interact very little apart from the delivery. While dependent on the information provided to us by the merchant, SkyPostal will always intend to contact consignees in order to correct a given address. In most countries we can process a re-delivery if original attempts failed due to an incorrect address. The data obtained from a merchant such as consignee phone number and email address is a critical part of enabling us to handle these exceptions.
In every country we serve you are guaranteed an electronic delivery confirmation with data and time and name of person accepting package.
We can offer a signature confirmation service at an higher cost than standard delivery confirmation in several countries. Please inquire regarding specific countries for pricing and availability.

Our service offers a minimum of two delivery attempts one every parcel, while in some countries we are able to guarantee three attempts. For information on a particular country, please contact us.
Currently we do not offer a pick up service. Check back with us in a couple of months as it is being worked on in a couple of our major countries.
We have customers who ship directly from many countries in Europe and Asia, bypassing our Miami hub. Our Miami hub can and should be used when low volumes do not justify flying direct. In these cases, Miami serves as a freight consolidator by adding your volume to our daily volume to Latin America.

Yes we do. We offer customers logistics solutions that can get the products out of their facilities and right into their customers hands. We can also offer product fulfillment services.
Currently we do not offer this service as a primary delivery method. In certain countries, packages can be picked up at a local delivery station thru special arrangements made with the provider, or in the case of unsuccessful attempts to deliver at the customers address, customer can sometimes pick up packages again at a local delivery station.
Yes, e-commerce to Argentina has essentially been blocked for the last few years, however, we are now open for business again in Argentina. Contact us for more information about shipping into this valuable Market.
PO boxes are serviced exclusively by Postal channels. In certain countries, i.e. Brazil, SkyPostal utilizes the services of the Postal service for some or all of their deliveries. In those cases, deliveries can be made to PO Boxes as well as home or business addresses. Contact us to find out in which countries we have this capability.
Many of our customers and their distribution facilities are located outside of the US. In those cases, clients can send consolidations direct into the destination countries utilizing our service and labels, or they can send directly to one of our hubs located around the world. If you wish to ship to Latin America, there is no better partner to have than SkyPostal, no matter where you’re located.
We can ship to a home or business address and in select countries, a PO Box.
SkyPostal can ship virtually anything that a delivery person can carry via a standard courier method. Generally the size limit is the sum of the length plus width plus height is equal to 100 inches or less. However, exceptions can be made and larger items can be handled. Contact us for more info.
In our major markets we have a domestic return center that receive and process returns and arrange their shipment back to origin if requested. We also have the capability to integrate with customers return systems and provide Return shipping labels.
We can collect duties payment in advance from all of our countries via our partnership with SecureImport. Through this exclusive service, consignees will be contacted via email prior to shipment of their items, requesting payment in advance for applicable duties. Packages are not shipped until duties have been collected. Duties payment requests to consignees include the Name of the Store where the items were purchased, the Order Description and Order Amount.
SkyPostal entered into a private agreement with the Mexican Postal service and the Colombia Postal service, whereby our customers will benefit from the postal channel de-minimus of $300 in Mexico and $1000 and up to 2 kilos in Colombia, while enjoying the full benefits of courier service. This includes end-to-end tracking, full online visibility, rapid transit times and dedicated customer support.
This benefit allows you to offer your customers duties savings in two of the biggest markets in Latin America and its only available through SkyPostal.

Yes absolutely. There is no issue with shoes in Mexico.
Duties plus taxes in Brazil are a significant factor to consider. The range is from 95% to 98% of the merchandise value depending on the destination state of the consignee.
The maximum value per item shipped is $1000. There are additional services that can be utilized for handling high value goods in some countries. Contact us for specific inquiries regarding high value items.
SkyPostal does all the work, so our clients don’t have to get involved with local customs issues. SkyPostal prepares documentation, clears customs and pays duties on behalf of our clients. Payment for duties can be collected prior to shipping from our clients (DDP) or through the consignees directly (DUTY COLLECT). Whatever it is, we handle all transactions with the customs authorities, stay on top of new and changing customs regulations, and prepare all documentation required for our shipments. We make sure that goods are imported smoothly and without delays.
Yes we do – through our third party fulfillment partner company we are able to provide fulfillment services from several points around the world. Orders are in turn injected into one of our parcel hubs and shipped and delivered to Latin America.
We work with some of the largest retailers in the world either directly or through consolidators. We cannot share their names as we respect our client’s privacy.
